Travel Date

Last night (Wed., Feb. 25th) we bought plane tickets to Beijing; just one week away! Things are in fast forward at our house. We have the most wonderful parents who are willing to drop everything to watch the girls for 9 1/2 days each side. SO... plans have begun.

We leave the house at 5:00 a.m. on the 4th to start a 20+ hour journey! A journey of a lifetime... We are going to China!

It hasn't been until now that we've allowed our hearts to be stirred by this endeavor. It seems we've kept our emotions at arms length, such an uncertain process.

So how long is your trip? Will your parents be there a few days before and after then? Just curious. EXCITING!!!!!

Prayer Requests

Having to be vague as our girls follow this too; for outpouring of comfort during time of loss. Our pain will be delayed until return but our dear friends who graciously offered to help us while gone are hurting and asking; "God, why now?" "Why here?" "Why us?"
Prayers for health!
TRANSITION DAY! Our girls will move today from staying with my husband's parents to now staying with my parents. Please pray for all involved; especially a reaping of blessing for the help R&E have been to the girls.
L's comfort will continue; that we would be able to soothe her many anxieties and her comfort with dad would increase.
We've been told that L is very timid and scared of strangers. She was in Beijing for a year due to surgery and will be transferred back to her orphanage just prior to us arriving. Pray for her heart to be full of peace during this time of transition.

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
