Heartbreaking

One of the families in our group was fortunate enough to have a letter from their child’s biological mother that most likely expressed the struggle many of the people who left these children went through. It was something to the effect of thank you kind people for adopting this child. She has a medical condition that we are not able to care for, she needs surgery right away. It listed the child’s date and time of birth as well as the name the mother chose for the child. It was clear in reading the letter that she cared for this child and was doing what she thought was in her best interest.
