Serving

Our family mission statement is "To disciple the next generation to live radically for Him (Jesus)!"  Sounds nice but that one sentence, if achieved, takes much thought and intentional living.  This is just one of the reasons we wanted to bring our children along with us to India.  For them, to live radically for Jesus means they must first see us living this way and in order to see us living this way they must be by our side.  It is our desire that our life; our ministry happens with our children.  We want to pour our hearts into service projects that our children will join and lead and make their own.

It is beautiful to see a child serve...

Our family teaching the children Psalm 23.

Ava (age 5) wanted to have her own group!

Applying tattoos!

We counted to ten in Hindi over and over and over!

Edie and Jenn taking a break to smile and sweat!

Jon standing by the church window.
Can you believe the pastor's 8 year old son can squeeze himself through there!  What a sight!

We had the best time teaching the children "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" to the tune of London Bridges (thanks King of Kings)!  We sang it in English and Hindi!  This was a FAVORITE by Tuesday afternoon and was accompanied by much laughter!

Serving lunch!
Ava = plates, Ella = rice, Meg = naan, Livi = boiled egg, Jon = dhal, Jenn = some rice topping???

Kavitha and Meg enjoying lunch together!
